What are you talking about? Transylvania was occupied by Hungary? Transylvania is now occupied by Romania. In my opinion only Wallachia and Moldova should be a part of Romania now. Look at the map. Romania is an artificial country within these borders. The Carpathians divide Romania in half. Carpathians should make a border between Hungary and Romania.

Very well said! Romania sits at a very important crossroads where southern, central and eastern Europe converge. It is the reason for such a unique culture… a Latin language, eastern religion and central European architecture.

Dacians were Scythian s like the Huns. I no way were they Romans. Their capital was Sarmizegetusa. That is: a place of the Sarmatians. Who were classic Scythians of Median origin. Wlachs were shepherds of Turkic origin using many balkanian slavic words. The Greek Church used slavic so the wlachs were made Slavic like the Bulgarians, who were originally Huns. Transylvania was occupied by the Heftalita huns in the 4th century. Their leader was the Gyula, like the Heftalita king Mihira -gula of the Kusan Empire in Kasmir. From that the capital of Transylvania was Gyulafehérvár, the White Castle of the Gyula. His religion was Zarathustrian not Greek. Mass immigration came when Joseph II, emperor let 800,000 Vlachs to come to Transylvania to avoid the Ottomans. They were supposed to accept the laws of the land and to become citizens of the Kingdom of Hungary.
Transylvania should be Independent from both Romania and from Hungary. Looking at how diverse that region is its only right that it should be that way. Sorta like Switzerland but in the Carpathians. A free independent nation with Romanians and Germans or Saxons and the Hungarians all three earned rights to it why not call yourselves fellow Transylvaniansu. Overall history proves that all three ethnicities contributed and sacrificed alot for that beautiful region and the name Transylvania can't be argued by either of the three because the Romans named it in Latin . So its only Right that way and i have a feeling God wants peace there more than the people and it only makes sense. One day it shall.

I don't think Transilvania was "occupied" by Hungary it was a Hungarian territory to begin with. So yea. Big mistake.
Roumania = citizens of Rome. But after 2000 years i would embrace the old name. Cause we sit on the ancestral Dacian kingdom. Its a shame for us to respect the invaders (Roman Empire) and to forgot the defenders wich gaved us a country to live. A country wich in the past didnt knew what means to fear anyone on this earth….. the only fear for them existed up in the sky . His name was Zalmoxes (one single god) they practiced a single god religion. In Dacia slaves existed as name cause in reality they were treated as members of the familly. In our late history Roumania was the last democracy after ww2 in eastern europe being completely surrounded by soviet and comunists . Our country in 1919 abolished the communist regime of Hungary (the early soviet Hungary). Our language is very similar to the italian 77% sharing the same words

We have nothing against our slavic neighbours…. the only one problem for us is the agressiv Russia wich expands destroying slow piece by piece Ukraine and we fear when they reach our border and the polish border….. what is going to happen then thats the question

Romania will go down as a country who had the most possibilities to be a developed economic power house but was robbed blind by its own leaders and destroyed from within by greed and theft. Zero patriots left in that country.

The Romanian-Hungarian squabble is pathetic in the eyes of great powers such as Russia, and the U.S. and even smaller powers like Turkey, Germany, Poland, and Italy. Not to say they have no right to be mad, but they have to right to say that one is better than the other. The moment one comes to the aid of the other will be the moment that country is the better country.
