È dedicata alla Toscana questa puntata di Signori del vino, il programma di Rai2 condotto da Marcello Masi e Rocco Tolfa che conduce il telespettatore alla scoperta delle realtà enologiche regionali, dei vitigni tradizionali italiani e dei loro territori di eccellenza. La puntata si apre a Piazza del Campo a Siena dove Marcello e Rocco, citando Dante, danno il via al viaggio alla scoperta di vini della regione. La prima tappa è in direzione Bolgheri per intervistare Ferdinando Frescobaldi parlando di supertuscans e vini simbolo della produzione regionale. A seguire, San Gimignano, per affrontare con Natalia Guicciardini Strozzi, erede di Monna Lisa, una chiacchierata storica sulla Vernaccia di San Gimignano. Nella zona del Chianti parla del vitigno del sangiovese Paolo De Marchi, mentre Isabella Perugini incontrerà la Presidente del Consorzio Doc Orcia Donatella Cinelli Colombini. Il set si sposta poi nella zona di Montepulciano per l’incontro con la donna del vino Dora Forsoni per un’intervista sul nobile di Montepulciano, e poi a Montalcino per conoscere un giovane produttore, Riccardo Talenti. Nel corso della puntata interverranno Daniele Cernilli (DoctorWine) e Marco Simonit, che svelerà come sempre alcuni dei \”segreti\” delle tecniche di viticultura.

2018 Villa Pillo Cingalino Rosso di Toscana
The wine is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. It showcases the freshness of fruit and aromas of both of these French varietals, which are fermented separately and are released after the Cingalino has been aged for 6 months in French barrels, and one year in neutral oak barrels. In the glass, the wine is a dark crimson red. The nose is full of dark berry fruit and hints of violet. The palate is layered with fresh berry, dark cherry, fruit, soft silky tannins, subtle oak, and underwood tones.
We recommend this wine with grilled meats, cheese, and flavorful pasta dishes.

It’s a nice label for representing the tuscan region. The intention is to do a product easy to drink with the complexity and roundness of French varieties, without loosing the flavour and fresh quality of traditional Tuscan wine.

Villa Pillo Description
The wine, composed by 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, as been named because of the funny animal represented on the label. A dressed wild boar with a grape on his hand. It’s a nice label for representing our tuscan region. The intention is to do a product easy to drink with the complexity and roundness of French varieties, without loosing the flavour and fresh quality of traditional Tuscan wine. Thanks to the particular attention of the blend, we obtain a wine with a medium dark colour with vibrant flavour and aromas, a pleasant wine to drink even if young. Every varieties did the fermentation separately anf after the Cigalino has been aged for 6 months in French one year used barrels of Lt. 225, wich contribute to enhance the elegance. We reccomend the wine with grilled meats, cheese and flavourfull pasta dishes.
Blend: 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc.
Age in oak: 6 months in Taransaud french oak, one year used.
