“The bottles of the Erté Collection were designed by Russian deco-artist Erté and contain an extraordinary blend of precious Grande Champagne cognacs. The legendary cognac house commissioned the seven bottle set from the Russian-born artist for its extraordinary blend of precious Grande Champagne cognacs, some dating back to 1892.
Only 12.000 bottles were made of numbers 1 to 7. Each of the bottles’ design represents a different facet of the cognac making process.” The seller Bottles had been purchased when they became available on the market in the 1980’s.
All decanters remain in excellent condition. Owner used gloves while handling bottles to ensure there would never be fingerprints. Bottles are unopened/factory sealed.
The exterior of these boxes show no signs of damage. The plastic sheaths do show signs of age. Bottle No. 3 (Distillation) does not have the card/envelope present. All remaining 6 bottles have the outer sleeves, bottle tags, and cards with envelopes.
All seven bottles had been stored at room temperature, lying on their sides.

A limited edition bottling of Courvoisier designed by the late Art Deco artiste Erte.
Emmanuel Courvoisier started his journey into the drinks industry by teaming up with Louis Gallois in 1809. Together, they opened a small wine and spirits company in the Parisian suburb of Bercy and after a successful first few years, the duo decided that the only way to guarantee their customers the best cognac possible was to start producing it themselves. In 1828 their sons, Felix and Jules, moved the company to the town of Jarnac in the heart of the Cognac region where they began production at Château Courvoisier. Napoleon Bonaparte himself loved the cognac so much that he took several barrels with him to St. Helena when he was exiled in 1815. In 1869 his heir, Napoleon III, personally bestowed upon the company the honourary title of, “Official Supplier to the Imperial Court,” and this declaration is still displayed at Château Courvoisier. In early 2014, what became Beam Suntory acquired the brand for a staggering $16bn and today, Courvoisier remains one of the most successful cognac brands of all time.
This is the third release which is known as ‘Dessin’ and contains eaux-de-vie that dates from the artist’s birth 1892.

Cognac is the world’s most famous brandy, and takes its name from the historic town of the same name in the south-west of France, near Bordeaux. This beautiful area, which stretches over 80 hectares along the Clarence River, was one of the first to be made an appellation. Its rich clay soil, climate tempered by the nearby ocean, and sunny weather make it the perfect place to cultivate vines —something that the local population has been doing for centuries.
Cognac production relies on grapes that are high in acidity and low in sugar to allow for a longer distillation time, and a purer spirit. Although the continuous stretch of vines across Charente and Charente-Maritime make up the largest white grape vineyard in Europe, it has six very distinct viticultural areas. The blending of the different varieties of grapes from this vast area is what lends each Cognac its individual character.
