Han Jisung could do a lot of things, that was common knowledge. One thing, however, that he couldn’t do was cook.
But that wasn’t going to stop him from trying.
He’d seen how stressed you’d been over the past few days, deadlines weighing down on your shoulders. So he wanted to do something nice and surprise you with a nice home cooked food.
In hindsight that seems like a good idea, but now he was seriously regretting it.
The kitchen was a mess of dirty bowls, cutlery and spilled ingredients.
He had somehow gotten flour in his hair, at least he thought it was flour, at this point it was hard to tell what was what.
On top of all that, he’d gotten distracted and forgot about the food cooking in the oven, nearly jumping out of his skin when the smoke detector started screaming.
That lead him to where he stood now, stood in front of the counter staring down at the burnt pan of food dejectedly.
“That could’ve gone better…” He sighed, running a hand through his already tousled hair. Things couldn’t go any worse.
But they did anyway.
As he started to formulate a plan in his head, a way to clean, bin the burnt food and order proper food before you got home, the front door clicked and swung open.
“I’m back” You called out tiredly, “Ji?”
Wide eyed and panicked, he glanced between the food and doorway. Maybe he could toss it all to one side and keep you from going into the kitchen.
But the universe was not on his side today. At all.
“Jisung? You in here?” You walked into the doorway, bag still hanging over one shoulder, hair messy from running your hands through it all day.
At the sight of the state of both the kitchen and your boyfriend, you froze. “What happened in here?”
“I-“ He hesitated, taking a last glance at the distaste around him before sighing, “I was trying to cook”
A tired, sympathetic smile pulled at your lips as you took another look around the mess. “What for? You know you’re terrible at cooking- you’ve admitted to it”
He turned around, leaning back against the counter. “I wanted to make you something nice for dinner” He told you, “You’ve been so stressed lately I thought it would be nice. I overestimated my abilities”
Your face softened, a bright smile replacing the tired one. “Aww, Ji-”
The last bit of his name was muffled by the fabric of his jumper as you walked over and pulled him into a tight hug, burying your face into his chest.
He wrapped his arms over your shoulder, burying his face into your hair.
The two of you stood there for a moment, silently swaying in the middle of the cluttered kitchen.
After a minute you pulled back, staring up at your boyfriend. “You didn’t have to do this, bubba”
Jisung shook his head, “I wanted to, you deserve something nice after working so hard”
“I would’ve been fine with ordering food and watching a movie with you. You didn’t have to do all this”
Pulling back from the hug, leaving your hands resting on his waist, you looked around the room and sighed.
“How about we clean this up, order something to eat and relax? Sound like a plan?”
Jisung smiled, “Yeah, good plan”

– Okay, Jisung would literally be the most caring boyfriend in existence, I am a firm believer of this
– It took him a long time to ask you out honestly, he knew he liked you from the first time he met you but it took him over a year to work up the courage to ask you on a date, so of course once he actually gets to be with you he’d want to be holding you whenever possible
– Jisung is terrified of rejection, he struggles a lot with his self esteem so of course he managed to convince himself that you’d never like him back 🙁
– You’re just so amazing! You are literally the warmest person ever, he feels his heart speed up every time he’s with you because you make him feel so loved
– But he’s convinced that love you continuously show for him is purely platonic
– And because you’re one of the only people he feels so happy and safe with, he refuses to risk ruining that and having you leave him over his feelings
– So he keeps them bottled up until he explodes, and you just happen to overhear him as he finally erupts and lets his feelings out
– You had popped in to visit the boys late one night at the practice room with enough food for all of them, knowing that they were working late tonight and wanting to make sure they were being fed well
– And you just so happened to approach the door right as Jisung reached his breaking point, feeling fed up after listening to the other members once again try to get him to admit his crush
– As soon as you heard his voice you paused, none of the boys noticing your figure standing by the door as Jisung began a long-winded rant
– “Okay, fine! I do like them! Is that what you wanted to hear? I’ve liked them since the day I met them, whenever I’m around them I feel butterflies all over and I can never wipe my smile off my face whenever I see them.”
– He sighed as he continued. “But we all know they’re too good for me, they could never like me. I can’t let this friendship slip from my fingertips just because I happened to develop feelings for them, you guys. It would make them uncomfortable and then I’d lose the best thing I’ve ever had, and I can’t let that happen. So please, please drop it.”
– He sounded exhausted, and you could clearly hear that he was on the verge of tears. It broke your heart to hear those words come out of his mouth, and before your brain could even register what you were doing you were running to his crumpled form on the floor, wrapping your arms around him.
– “Sung, I’ve been in love with you for so long, you have no idea. Please don’t say those things about yourself, you are more than good enough for me. Being around you makes me happy, and that’s the most important part of a relationship, right?”
– Many tears were shed that night, and you two had a long talk together, but you came out with a wonderful boyfriend after it was all over so you’d say it was worth it!
– As I said earlier, Jisung is such a clingy boyfriend, he just loves you so much and always wants to be holding you in some way.
– If he’s home before you he will run up to you and pull you into the couch as soon as you get home, his arm wrapped around your waist and his face pressing small kisses to your back.
– And if he arrives home later than you, exhausted from a long day of practice, he’ll take the quickest shower possible and then snuggle up to you in bed, burying his face in your chest as you feel his breathing begin to even out.
– He loves kisses, as we’ve all seen before. He is willing to do practically anything for kisses.
– It’s time for one of you to do a grocery run and neither of you want to do it? Offer him kisses and he will be out the door and running to the store before you can even finish your sentence.
– He gets really emotional and sappy on holidays, always buys you a card and literally fills up the entire thing writing about how much he loves you, his favorite memories together, how he’s so grateful to have you, everything like that.
– Very understanding if you’re struggling with your mental health, he knows how it feels so he listens to you and tries his absolute best to give you what you need, whether that’s some space by yourself or staying with you all night because you need to know that you’re not alone.
– And he’s confided in you about his own issues with mental health and anxiety, you two have built up a great support system for each other. You’ve learned each others’ needs during these times, and you’re always there to support him and vice versa.
– You hang out pretty regularly with the other members as well, just because I feel like Jisung wants all the people closest to him to get along.
– He invites you over to the dorms sometimes and you end up watching a movie or playing games with all the guys, and you all have a blast together.
– Jisung goes all out on the dates, especially considering he prefers to have dates inside, either at one of your homes or somewhere that’s not overly crowded.

– He buys you cheesy gifts all the time while he’s touring, and sometimes they’re incredibly weird but you love the thought of it anyways.
– Literally one time he bought you a mini figurine of a shark with legs and abs (for some reason?) wearing sunglasses and dancing on a surfboard. You were incredibly confused and all he said was, “You said you liked the beach, and when I saw this it reminded me of you so I bought it!”
– But the smile on his face is so big when he gives it to you, and it’s so cute that he was thinking of you, so you keep it on your nightstand. (It makes him very happy whenever he comes over to your house and sees it sitting there)
– To wrap this up I’ll just say that Jisung is a very sweet and caring boyfriend who always knows exactly what you need (Even if he shows his love in unconventional/”weird” ways sometimes), but he has his own issues and insecurities so please be there for him and reassure him as well. 🙂

“What are you gonna get?” Miran asked.
“Uhh, kimbap and cola I think,” Areum nodded, heading straight for the fridge aisle. Miran nodded, following and grabbing a banana-flavoured milk wordlessly.
The pair wondered through the next aisle, looking for snacks to take home.
Miran stopped suddenly, looking at the cosmetics products in front of her, Changmi had been complaining about not having any dry shampoo for days.
“What are you doing?” Areum asked, trailing back to Miran, “ooh, are you gonna dye your hair?!”
“What? No!” Miran laughed, “I was gonna pick up some dry shampoo for Changmi.”
“Shame. I think you’d look good with pink hair.”
“Pink?” Miran asked, peeking at the box Areum had in her hands, “I’d have to bleach it first,” she said, lifting up the ends of her jet-black hair.
Areum hummed, putting the box back.
“Wait,” she said, grabbing Areum’s wrist, “I want to.”
“Really?!” Areum exclaimed, “I wanna help! Oh my god, wait, I’ll get the bleach too!”
Miran laughed, completely forgetting about Changmi’s shampoo as she followed Areum to the till.

“Wait, don’t get it in my eyes!” Miran shouted, currently upside down over the side of the bath.
“I won’t!” Areum yelled, “cover them if you’re so scared!”
Miran fake cried, placing her hands over her face as Areum continued to wash the bleach out her friend’s hair.
“Hey Changbin, is Areum here?” Seungmin asked, letting himself into the Seo house.
“Yep, she’s upstairs with Miran,” Changbin nodded, sat with Chan in the living room.
“Thanks,” Seungmin said, walking upstairs and peering round, “Areum?!”
“In the bathroom!” Areum called.
“Don’t let him in!” Miran exclaimed.
“Why not?”
“What if he tells my dad?!” Miran cried.
“Uhh, I think it’s a bit late for that,” Areum scoffed, putting the shower head down and looking at her friend’s now blonde hair – not too noticeable as it was dark from being wet, but definitely visible as not being black as it was before.
“Areum, can I come in?” Seungmin asked.
“Yeah,” she chuckled, looking at Miran’s panicked face.
“What are you two—” Seungmin paused, “oh.”
“Uncle Seungmin, please don’t tell my dad!” Miran freaked.
“Seriously, are you an idiot or something?!” Areum exclaimed.
Seungmin laughed, “Miran, it is far too late for that.”
Miran groaned.
“Mum just wanted me to tell you that dinner’s nearly ready,” Seungmin smiled, looking back to his daughter.
“Am I okay to stay here? I wanna see this through now.”
Seungmin chuckled, “sure. I wanna tell mum now as well, but don’t worry Miran – I won’t tell your dad about your blonde hair.”
Miran pouted, looking at Areum in regret, “why did you make me do this?”
“Me?! You’re the one who said you wanted to! Now come on. Pink will definitely look better than blonde.”
Miran groaned, sitting on the lid of the toilet as Areum pulled on a second pair of gloves, beginning to pour the dye straight on Miran’s hair.
“Does school even allow dyed hair?!” Miran asked, “oh god, why did I do this?!”
“Stop panicking,” Areum said, rolling her eyes, “you’ll look good, and isn’t that the most important thing?”
Miran rolled her eyes, “sure.”

“What if my dad’s out there?” Miran whispered.
“There’s a towel on your head, you fucking idiot.”
“Are you two done?! I need a shower!” Haein shouted, knocking on the door.
“Yeah, just coming out,” Miran said, Areum opening the door and the two stepping out.
“What are you even—” Haein looked at the pink stained bathtub, “oh my god. Changmi! Did you know this?!”
“Shhhhh, Oppa, shut up! Mum and Dad don’t know!” Miran whisper-yelled.
“Oh you’re fucked,” Haein laughed, “I’ll try and wash some of this away so you’ll be a little less fucked though.”
He grinned and Miran fake cried, going into her bedroom.
“Okay, all we have left to do is dry,” Areum smiled, pulling the hairdryer out as Miran pulled her hair out of the towel.
“Do you think my parents will be angry?” Miran sighed.
Areum ran the hairdryer all over Miran’s head, using her hands and a hairbrush to make sure it wasn’t tangled.
“Nope,” Areum laughed, “cause this looks… amazing.”
“Shut up,” Miran grumbled, flipping her head so Areum could get the underneath.
When she was done, Seungmin’s daughter flicked the hairdryer off and stepped back.
Miran looked in the mirror and her eyes widened.
“Woah.”
“I told you,” she laughed.
“Dad!” Miran shouted, “Dad, look what I just did!”
“Hmm?” Changbin responded, exiting the kitchen and looking to the stairs where Miran was running down, “what?!”
His mouth dropped open, coming towards his daughter and touching her hair, “Miran what on earth?! Are you even allowed this at school?”
“I have no idea!” Miran laughed, “but… don’t you like it?!”
“Come on, Uncle, you have to admit it suits her.”
Changbin laughed, “it really does, Miran! You look amazing!”
Miran giggled, “where’s Mum? Mum!”
