She is a founding member and the first woman President of the Peranakan Baba Nyonya Association of Kuala Lumpur \u0026 Selangor. A sixth generation nyonya, she has published ten books of nonfiction and fiction. Her Doctorate in Education from the University of Houston explores the multiple identities and identity constructions of non-native English language speakers. Dr. Lee was an Associate Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia where she lectured, researched and published widely on language, culture and identity. Meanwhile, as an invited speaker at the Ubud and Singapore Writers’ Festival, she has given many talks and presentations in the U.S., U.K., Australia and Asia.

Dr Lee Su Kim is the author of ten books including three bestsellers. She is a full-time writer and language consultant. Formerly Associate Professor of English at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Su Kim’s research interests are in language, culture and identity. She holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Houston and a Masters degree from the University of Malaya. She has presented papers at international conferences in Europe, the USA and Asia and published widely on language and identity issues.
