There is a beautiful waterfront grassy area for ceremonies complete with a handcrafted fountain! Next door is an open-air patio for cocktails and mingling.
The Nautilus Event Room is a great reception space with big windows to help you and your guests take in the view. It has a divider so you can choose half the room for smaller weddings or use the whole room for larger size groups! Uplighting can add a great touch to this room as well!

There are many great things to do in your Community Center. For example you can swim at the Aquatic Center, climb the Rock Wall, work out in the Fitness Room and play basketball in the Gymnasium. The Nautilus Room hosts many City of Coronado special events like the Breakfast with Santa and Family Bingo night, and its the ideal place for family celebrations like your wedding reception and later your anniversary. As our premier room, the Nautilus Room is a beautifully elegant banquet room designed to host the most special of occasions. Whether your event is professional, recreational, or celebratory, the Nautilus Room is the room in San Diego that will leave you and your guests raving its qualities for years to come. Set against Glorietta Bay, the Nautilus Room provides space for up to 250 guests, vaulted ceilings, beautiful lighting, and floor-to-ceiling views of the bay front. At an affordable price, tables, chairs, and a dance floor are included and all celebrations are invited to continue well into the evening, up to midnight.

Nina & Miguel’s Wedding at Coronado Community Center
“I first saw Nina in passing in college and thought to myself, “she is hands down the most beautiful woman at school.” Time went by and luckily, we were introduced to each other on the first day of my new internship – she was my co-worker. Over the first year we grew closer as friends… just friends.
While Nina was with her girls on a birthday trip in NYC, I revealed my feelings in true “Miguel” form…. I ordered a pink gorilla singing telegram! At an upscale restaurant in front of her friends, an embarrassing pink gorilla danced and sang a short poem I wrote for her birthday. It finally struck Nina that I had feelings for her and I managed to break through the friend zone! Seven blissful and adventurous years later, we’re here.
I have never met a more beautiful, loyal, intelligent, strong, and driven woman. I cannot believe that that same beautiful woman who left me speechless just passing by in college, will be the same woman that says, “I do.” – The groom, Miguel
We are excited to share this July wedding at the Coronado Community Center with you all! We got a chance to incorporate our design expertise, as well as some of our rentals, into this wedding, making this wedding extra fun for us! Not to mention, we worked with amazing vendors that kept the day running smoothly!

This First Look took place outside of the Manchester Grand Hyatt in Downtown San Diego. So many beautiful photo opportunities around this hotel!
Succulents, protea’s and roses made a colorful, textured combination to this bouquet that we absolutely adore!
We adore this style of bridesmaid dresses! Different pastel colors and different dress styles. Everyone looked stunning!

The clear chiavari chair gives a more modern day fresh look, and kept the ceremony location looking bright.
These hexagon escort tiles were a great modern touch that went great with the geometric modern theme that was used throughout the wedding.
Nina and Miguel incorporated the Filipeno Catholic traditions with the viel, cord and candle ceremony.

It is always a pleasure getting to work with Toast Catering! Their food is to die for and their staff is amazing!
We were excited to put our new geometric votives to use for this wedding! Geometric votives and gold charger plates from the Sweet Blossom inventory.
The macrame and copper pipe backdrop was provided by one of our former brides, Jen, with Nectar and Bloom. She is our go to for macrame! We couldn’t be more happy with how this turned out sweetheart table turned out.

A major perk of having your wedding at the Coronado Community Center is that the room is a blank slate. It is a big spacious room with big open windows looking out to the harbor which is perfect for executing any type of style wedding.
Sugar and Scribe desserts always look delicious!
One of the best parts of our job is getting to pick awesome vendors that will execute the style and vision that the couple is looking for. That was definitely the case for this wedding and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!
